AM5 Mycro Direct-Die
The AM5 Mycro Direct-Die RGB is a water cooler for AMD's Ryzen 7000 processors that sits directly on the chiplets of a delidded (beheaded) CPU. Made of nickel-plated copper, the Direct-Die water cooler offers outstanding thermal conductivity. This is further increased by an optimized structure of the microfins on the top. In addition, compared to normal water cooling, direct-die cooling eliminates the need for a layer of thermal conductive material as well as the CPU's heatspreader. This significantly improves the heat transfer from the CPU to the water cooling circuit.
Visually, the AM5 Mycro Direct-Die RGB offers a stylish appearance. On the nickel-plated base plate is a block of acrylic glass, which is subjected to a annealing process after milling. The annealing process removes internal surface stresses from the acrylic. This ensures that no stress cracks form in the acrylic glass even after a long period of use.
A cover made of anodized aluminum is magnetically attached to this. 13 RGB LEDs integrated into the cover illuminate the side acrylic glass and the G1/4-inch threads. The cover can be mounted so that the RGB connection cable can be routed up or down. The RGB lighting is connected via a 3-pin ARGB header (+5V/DATA/GND).

The AM5 Mycro Direct-Die RGB's nickel-plated finish is compatible with traditional thermal pastes and gallium-based liquid metals. The nickel forms a barrier layer between the liquid metal and the copper cooler, preventing liquid metal from diffusing into the copper and minimizing alloying. As a result, multiple applications of liquid metal are generally not necessary. For the most maintenance-free system possible, a KryoSheet graphene thermal pad can be used as the thermal interface between the CPU and the AM5 Mycro Direct-Die RGB. Since KryoSheet pads are electrically conductive, a cover is included to protect the electronic components on the CPU package.
Attention: Removing the heatspreader (“delidding”) of a processor is at your own risk! The manufacturer's warranty expires when the CPU is delidded! Damage caused by delidding the CPU is not covered by the manufacturer's warranty!
Removing the Socket Actuation Mechanism (SAM) of the mainboard may invalidate the manufacturer's warranty of the mainboard manufacturer!
Ryzen 8X00G Compatibility
Attention: The Mycro Direct-Die RGB is NOT COMPATIBLE with the APUs of the Ryzen 8000G series! Note on Ryzen 9000 compatibility
According to initial internal tests, the AM5 Mycro Direct Die RGB is compatible with AMD's Ryzen 9000 processor series. The compatibility test only includes the normal 9000 CPUs. Ryzen 9000X3D CPUs will be tested as soon as available.
